| 요약2 | Amid the completion of national urban regeneration projects in Korea, this study examines sustainable hub facility operations by identifying key factors and assessing their importance. Analyzing 90 facilities across 35 project sites (concluded 2020-2021), the research combines surveys from 248 practitioners with 19 in-depth interviews. Findings reveal operating entities’ capacity and expertise are crucial for sustainability. However, 87.9% of respondents faced challenges securing operators, and 31.8% experienced delays exceeding six months between completion and operation. Community facilities perform best under balanced public-private partnerships, while profit-generating facilities achieve better outcomes with private management. The study recommends systematic development of operating entities, viable revenue models, operational support systems, and function-based management approaches. This exploratory research provides empirical insights into operational challenges and strategic directions for hub facility management in similar policy initiatives. |
