| 요약1 | 본 연구의 목적은 세계 여행 관광 협의회인 WTTC(World Travel & Tourism Council)의 오버투어리즘 진단지표를 활용하여 제주도의 오버투어리즘을 진단하고 WTTC에서 제공하는 59개의 도시를 대상으로 도시를 분류하고 제주도를 포지셔닝 하는 것이다. WTTC의 9가지 오버투어리즘 진단지표를 활용하여 제주도의 오버투어리즘을 진단하고 지역주민의 불편과 관광객, 관광의 불편에 따라 제주도를 포함한 9가지 지표가 모두 다 있는 60개의 도시를 분류하여 다음과같은 세 가지 결과를 도출하였다. 첫째, WTTC의 오버투어리즘 진단지표의 9개의 항목에 따라제주도의 오버투어리즘을 진단하면 평균적으로 3.89의 값을 가지며 WTTC에서 제공하고 있는59개 도시의 평균인 2.93보다 높은 값을 지니고 있음을 알 수 있었다. 둘째, 지역주민의 불편과관광객, 관광의 두 카테고리로 제주도를 포함한 60개의 도시를 분류하였을 때 제주도는 가장상위 그룹에 속한 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 제주도는 관광밀도, 관광강도, 트립어드바이저에서 부정적 후기, 관광명소, 역사유적지에서 높은 수치를 기록하고 있다. |
| 요약2 | This study aims to diagnose and position overtourism level in Jeju Island by using the WTTC(World Travel and Tourism Council) overtourism index and to classify 59 cities named by the WTTC. The WTTC’s nine overtourism diagnostic indicators were adopted to identify Jeju Island’s overtourism level and 60 cities with all nine indicators. Jeju Island and 59 foreign cities were classified according to the inconvenience of local residents, tourism and tourist. Three findings are as follows. First, the average overtourism value of the Jeju Island was 3.89 and higher than the average of 59 cities provided by WTTC(2.93). Second, when all 60 cities including Jeju Island were categorized according to inconvenience to local residents and to tourists and tourism, Jeju Island was found to belong to the top group. Third, Jeju Island is high score in the respect of tourist density, tourism intensity, negative Trip Advisor reviews, attraction concentration and historic site prevalence. |
