| 요약1 | 본 연구는 고령화 사회에 노인들의 일상여가활동과 이동성이 증대됨에 따라 노인 여가 공간이 자생적으로 생겨나는 사회현상에 주목하여 도시공간 특성에 관한 연구를 진행하였다. 본 연구에서는 노인 여가 공간이 두드러지게 나타나는 제기동을 중심으로 어떠한 노인들이 도시공간을 선택하고 이용하고 있는지, 또 어떠한 도시공간의 특성을 보이는지 살펴보았다. 설문 조사, 인터뷰 등을 통해 도시공간 특성을 물리적, 인문사회학적, 경제적 세가지 측면으로 분석하였으며 그 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 제기동은 노인들의 욕구를 충족시켜주는 공간이자 노인들에게 다양한 선택권을 제공하는 공간이다. 둘째, 제기동은 익숙함을 탈피하고 새로움을 추구하고자 하는 도시공간이다. 셋째, 제기동은 노인들의 소득수준에 최적화된 도시공간으로 노인들이 일상 여가를 위해 소비가 가능한 공간이다. 본 연구의 결과를 통해, 향후 노인의 여가 장소 및 노인친화적 도시공간을 계획하고 설계하는 데 도움이 될 수 있을 것이며 초고령 사회에 맞추어 실질적으로 노인들이 원하는 도시공간을 마련하는 데 있어 중요한 기초자료로 사용될 수 있을 것이다. |
| 요약2 | This study provides an assessment on the characteristics of urban spaces, focusing on the growth of leisure space for the elderly who have increased mobility and leisure time in an ageing society. The study analyzes the characteristics of the users and the types of leisure space that are used by the elderly in an urban area. The assessment was made from physical, social, and economic perspectives using in-depth interviews and survey on the elderly visitors in Jegi-dong, a sub-district of Dongdaemun-gu in Seoul Metropolitan City with high numbers of elderly foot traffic on a daily basis. There are three urban spatial characteristics as results. First, Jegi-dong is a space that fulfills the desires of the elderly and provides various options for elderly's leisure. Second, Jegi-dong is a new space that is different from the conventional experiences. Third, Jegi-dong is an urban space that is optimized to meet leisure demands of the elderly under restrained budget. The study provides a preliminary basis that can be used by decision-makers prior to developing and planning urban spaces in an ageing society. |
