| 요약1 | 본 연구는 복수의 기능들이 복잡하게 밀집된 입체복합시설에서 방문자의 공간인지 과정과 특성을 고찰한다. 이를 위해 본 연구는‘서울의 코엑스와 센트럴시티에서 방문자가 매개공간을 이용해 입체복합시설을 어떻게 인지하며, 매개공간의 물리적 특성이 방문자의 공간경험과 질적 평가에 어떻게 기여할 수 있는가’의 연구질문을 가지고 설문조사와 지도분석을 진행하였다. 본 연구의 결과를 요약하면 아래와 같다: (1) 방문자는 매개공간을 이용하여 복잡한 입체복합공간을 대·소 위계의 단순한 중앙집중구조로 인지하며; (2) 단면공간에서 매개공간을 이용한 층간의 기능연계와 시각적 개방감이 방문자의 입체적인 공간인지와 주요 기능시설의 활용을 높이며; (3) 매개공간의 물리적 특성이 방문자에게 내·외부의 경계공간과 중심부를 쾌적/불쾌적한 공간으로 인지하는데 영향을 준다. 이러한 결과는 복잡한 입체복합시설 설계의 핵심인 방문자의 공간인지가 매개공간의 계획과 설계기법을 통해 효과적으로 향상될 수 있음을 보여준다. |
| 요약2 | This study examines the mechanism of visitor’s space experience in large mixed-use complexes in Seoul. It conducts a series of field surveys and cartographic analyses in order to understand the process and tendency of space recognition which appear to be critically determined by the physical layout and design elements of ‘intermediate areas’ in Coex and Central City. The findings are summarized: (1) visitors are likely to recognize the space of a large mixed-use complex as a simple yet centralized hierarchical structure of big and small intermediate areas; (2) functional and visual linkages between floors connected by intermediate areas improve the degree of space recognition in a three-dimensional way; (3) physical layout and design elements of intermediate areas help determine the comfortability of spaces experienced by visitors particularly in boundary and central areas. The study suggests the quality of visitor’s space cognition in a large mixed-use complex be improved through the effective planning and design strategies for intermediate areas. |
