| 요약1 | 본 연구의 대상은 전라남도 여수시에 소재한 ‘여수애양병원’의 모태가 된 애양리 공동체 마을이다. 여수애양병원(또는 애양원)은 자의성이 강했던 한센병 선교 시설이다. 이곳은 일제강점기에는 치료 대상의 주체가 한센병 환자였지만 현재는 일반 재활 환자로 바뀌었다. 국가적으로 격리 대상이 된 한센병 환자로 이뤄진 특수 공동체 마을의 형성 과정과 그 공간 변화의 과정을 통해 지역의 특징과 이들이 미친 영향을 알아보고자 한다. 현재 이곳은 여수공항 확장과 산업단지 지정 등 개발이라는 주변 여건의 변화 속에 있다. 본 연구는 특수한 마을의 원형과 공간 변화과정 속에 드러난 지역의 특성을 기초로 삼아‘애양리 마을’의 학술적 가치와 문화관광 사업에 대한 대응 전략의 기초 자료로 삼고자 한다. |
| 요약2 | This study investigates Aeyangli community village which is the origian of Yeosu Aeyang Hospital located in Yeosu, Cheonlanamdo. Yeosu Aeyang Hospital(or Aeyangwon) was a missionary facility of its own will for the patients with Hansen's Disease. Originally it was established for the medical treatment of Hansen’s Disease, but later it was changed into a rehabilitation facility for the handicapped. We inverstigated the distinctive feature of the isolated place and the influence of those people by analysing the development process of the community. Presently the place is in the middle of transition such as expansion of Yeosu Airport and development of Industrial area. This study intends to find the cultural value of Aeyangli and make a foundation for cultural tourism by exploring the original form and spatial change of the unique communty. |
