| 요약1 | 이 논문은 담장허물기 사업으로 인한 보행환경의 변화가 주민들의 커뮤니티 의식에 미치는 영향을 분석하고자 하였다. 담장허물기 사업은 주택가의 담장을 허물고 개별필지를 주차공간으로 활용하고자 하는 주차정책의 일환으로 시행중이다. 서울시는 이 사업을 통하여 주차문제를 해결할 뿐만 아니라 보행환경을 개선하여 커뮤니티를 활성화시키고자 하는 목적을 가지고 있다. 이에 본 연구는 담장허물기 사업을 시행한 주거지와 시행하지 않은 주거지를 사례대상지로 선정하고 두 지역을 분석하여 보행환경의 질이 커뮤니티 의식에 미치는 영향을 파악하고자 하였다. 그 결과, 담장허물기 사업을 시행한 주거지역에서의 보행환경의 질과 커뮤니티 의식이 높게 나타났으며, 보행환경의 변화가 커뮤니티의식에 큰 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 이와 같은 연구는 담장허물기 사업이라는 지자체 사업의 효과성을 분석함과 동시에 보행환경의 질이 커뮤니티 의식에 미치는 영향을 실증적으로 분석했다는 측면에서 의의를 가진다. |
| 요약2 | This study examines how the Wall Removal Project influences residents’ sense ofcommunity as a result of the changes in pedestrian environment. The Wall Removal Project isa kind of parking policy that encourages the use of individual lot as parking place byremoving the wall. It is a policy of the Seoul city to resolve the parking problem, improvepedestrian environment, and thereby revitalize the whole community. Surveys conducted inSiheungsam-dong which have promoted the Wall Removal Project, and nearby Siheungbon-dong, support the hypotheses that (1) the qualities of neighborhood’s pedestrian environment,(2) the sense of community will be higher in Siheungsam-dong, (3) the qualities ofneighborhood’s pedestrian environment will significantly contribute to this sense ofcommunity. |
