A hotel is a high-latency factor that contains not just the contemporary history and culture of a country, but its political and hierarchical characteristics. It is urgent that accurate performance should be putted first, rather than a designer's subjective experience, knowledge or intuition, in selecting the interior finishing materials of a hotel. This study was performed to investigate the actual conditions of interior finishing materials used for hotels. The target of this study was focused on twenty hotels located in Seoul Korea. Their blueprints were analyzed concurrently spot investigations, on the basis of philological consideration. The significance is in providing information about use of finishing material through analyses of finishin material used for interior of public spaces of hotels in cities, as a result of the study. |
