요약2 In modern society, people living in the urban area need a space to enjoy cultural aspects which can help recover their sensibility and share their common interests. The purpose of this study is to analyze the characteristics of the complex cultural spaces built and operated by corporations in urban areas of which the public can easily access in order to increase the quality of life for the local citizens, and based on this, to consider the relationship between the corporations and their culture spaces. After reviewing the previous nstudies and the existing culture centers, the study was conducted through an analysis of the cases on complex cultural spaces established and operated by well-known Korea corporations. The final were selested inlected including KT&G Sangsangmadang, Space*C, T-Space, ssamzim Space, and W style shop, and analyzed in terms of its programs, spatial configura-tion and design characteristics. Also, the relationships between the philosophy and images of the cor-porations and their cultural spaces were explored. The results show that the cultural spaces reflect the image and concept of each corporate, which can make the corporate known as culture-leader with good image. More complex cultural spaces should be established for both the sound growth of the corporation and the public culture.
