As the development of digital technology creates the space which reality and virtual reality are conflated, the concept of interface and a new boundary area emerged in today's space. interface is a media to transfer meaning out of boundary area section of traditional inside/outside of apace, and it plays a role as conceptional and concrete field which makes it possible to interact with users mutually. therefore, such interface should be reflected on the space design through the mutually organiv relation in a way to predict users in the future space. From this perspective, this study attempts to grasp the introductory status of Digital as interface in Digital Media-Experiencing Type Exhibition, the interface most positively forming the mutually organic relation between space and user in the existing physical space. As the first step to achieve its purpost, we defined the concept and characteristics of Digital Media-Experiencing Type Exhibition, and classified the types of digital media in the exhibition space based on interface area. And then, focusing on the classified types by selecting 3 places in Korea and 3 places in japan, we compared and analyzed the introductory status of those places and suggested the digital media orientations as the exhibition media that configured interface in the exhibition space. Hence, this study would take a role as fundamental data in planning for the exhibition space design in the future and be expected to present the possibility of new interface in the space. |
