Furniture designing is a crucial part of interior design. Each furniture designer has his own ideas on furniture designing; however, many of them lack the systematic direction in theory and in practice, which causes the phenomenon of plagiarism widely. The writer attempted to summarize the techniques applied in works of all ages, and combined the thoughts of masters of designing for the purpose of helping improve the situation mentioned above. From the perspective of the determination of furniture function, the selection of material, its external form, and the adjustment of living habits concerning furniture, the paper elaborates what was taken into consideration in furniture designing and analyzed the methods in common devising. In this way, more concrete ideas on designing are researched. |
