| 요약1 | As global world comes, identity becomes hot issue in respond to it. Recently, ‘Han-Brand’ policy is established by Ministery of Culture & Tourism brought for cultural identity and global marketing. This research is related to this policy and trend. The purpose of this study is to identify traditional housing characteristics applied in modern apartment. To approach this, nine traditional housing characteristics were selected though review of literature on traditional housing. Based on 9 characteristics of traditional housing, examples of modern apartments with traditional characteristics were found by fifteen housing construction company’s brochures. As a result, it was discovered that the number of examples with the quality of environment-friendliness is highest. This is because the importance of well-being rises commently, and people seek solutions in nature. The significance of this study lies in the synthesized and systematic research on the modernization of tradition. |
