요약1 The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship between learning styles and different instructional methods in teaching interior design studio class. Data were collected from the experiment conducted with an entry-level interior design studio class. Two different instructional methods, traditional “static” and computer-assisted multimedia “dynamic,” were used in this study to compare the effectiveness of different instructional methods and their relationship to student learning styles. A theory of cognitive learning process was adopted in designing the experiment. The results of this study indicated there is no significant difference between the two instructional methods in academic learning. However, there was an interaction between learning styles and instructional methods that affected overall learning outcomes. These findings suggest that learning styles need to be considered in the application of different instructional methods in interior design education.
