| 요약2 | The tourism behavior of Korea is changing. It used to be sightseeing-centered tourism placing importance on seeing and enjoying landscapes. It became hands-on experience-based leisure-type sightseeing tourism and then the interest in health tourism is getting more increasing by adding the value of healing. When we think of rest and healing, we think of hot spring. Domestic hot springs place more importance on short-term profit rather than rest and healing, so they form amusement or recreation tourism. The aged and underdeveloped hot spring resort hotels are perceived as low-priced accommodation or a public bath. In addition, although the location factor is very important to hot spring resorts, domestic hot spring resort hotels have little capability to utilize and plan to use major resources. Accordingly, a plan to develop hot spring resort hotels is needed so that they can be rest and healing places. Hot spring resort hotels are located in the place where hot spring water spouts. If we study vernacular design which shows the characteristics of the location, analyze the expressive characteristics of vernacular design and reflect it in space design in designing a hot spring resort hotel, it can play a big role in regional revitalization and local culture promotion as a recreational facility representing the area. |
