| 요약2 | Inconvenience associated with housing is the storage. This is more salient because of the recent tendency of preferring small houses, the constant increase of living goods and the limitation of the available space inside the housing unit. There has been a lot of studies on the storage inside the housing unit, but it is hard to find any studies on its outside storage room. In this study, we investigated the Occupants' satisfaction factors that can be applied to the space planning for the storage outside housing unit. The most important factor is the accessibility. It depends on the proximity to each household or the individual parking spaces. The second factor is the size and structure of the storage. Satisfaction in regards to the size pertains to the space for keeping large objects and taking them out. Satisfaction in regards to the structure is related to the finishing material considering personal privacy and the provision of the internal furniture for efficient loading. The third is the activation of various support programs: the system that allows occupants to see what items in the storage room are in their house, a garage sale, a laundry service, the provision of cleaning equipment. In addition, environmental factors such as maintenance of proper temperature, humidity and security affected the satisfaction. This study is expected to be a basic data for space planning for the storage outside the housing unit by eliciting occupants’ satisfaction factors, and it should be further complemented and developed by accumulating more data in the characteristics of different types in further studies. |
