| 요약2 | As the information and communication technologies (ICT) has been advanced, smart homes have been introduced in the housing market. Residents become not satisfied with conventional housing functions, further demand more smart housing services for conveniences in their lifes. The initial adoption of smart homes were done in luxury houses or apartments in China emphasizing advanced technologies and devices, thus residents who live in affordable housings or apartments have no much opportunity for using such smart homes. Recently, the market of smart homes has been developed and extended, however, there is no agreed rule or protocol among related industries and architecture companies, which causes many problems in the market of smart homes. This research is to investigate such problems in the market with the history for the development of smart homes and identify residents' needs on smart homes using a questionnaire survey. Based one the result of the survey, persona scenarios will be developed according to residents' ages and a future direction for smart homes will be proposed. |
