Although various values should be expressed in an exhibition space, it is subject to realistic limits of a general space. To express those values easier and more diversely, this research would like to suggest an exhibition based on augmented reality technologies. In addition, among many studies related to augmented reality, only few of them include user evaluation. Therefore, this research would like to explore the notion of augmented reality, major technologies that realize exhibitions, and effective measures to create an exhibition which maximize the immersion of the audience. With the analysis on preceded research, this research drew out user evaluation factors and discovered the measures to realize exhibitions in permanent exhibition spaces based on augmented reality. The measures of realizing augmented reality exhibitions include marker and pattern, display, and 3D model and the user evaluation factors include exhibition satisfaction, presence (existence, immersion), and interaction. Based on them, by analyzing existing augmented reality exhibitions and surveys based on user evaluation factors, this research is meaningful in suggesting permanent exhibition spaces based on Augmented reality with high immersion where interaction with the audience is important. I hope this research would become a material for exhibition planning which can be used in planning permanent exhibition based on augmented reality in the future. |
