The increase in the number of elderly living alone in our country is bringing measures where previous village community halls or senior citizen centers are remodeled into common houses of elderly living alone so that elderly can spend time together and maintain a stable old age life. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to conduct a case analysis on the common houses of elderly living alone to explore the remodeling space conditions and characteristics and suggest improvement directivity along with basic data for planning remodeling. For the method of the study, field survey was based on to conduct observation, survey research, and photograph shooting and the following are the results of the study. First, the case showed that instead of changing the structure, improvements are being made to the interior conditions through the reconstruction of the fat surface. In addition, to effectively use narrow spaces during remodeling, a space was opened or a folding door was used to make plans for the space. Second, aside from eliminating the gap of each space, there is not enough consideration provided for universal design so this should be considered. Second, the expansion of the exterior space through the application of dead space enables for elderly to come in contact with external environment and the nature as well as communicate with neighbors. |
