Due to the development of the movie industry in Korea, the number of multiplex has been increased and improvement and research on images, service, and spatial improvement has been continued. With the development of the movie industry in Korea, the multiplex has become a place where different cultural demands are met with an easy accessibility for public. The number of the multiplex has been increased and the function of the multiplex has been expanded, which leads to continuous research on improvement of image, service, and spatial improvement ? on the contrary, theater is emphasized for purpose of watching movies. Multiplex should be improved in order to enhance the entertainment of audiovisual contents by accommodating various audience’s preferences and characters. Firstly, diversification and sophistication through specializing multiplex. Since movie theater is not just a hall where people stay but space with a purpose of watching movies, analysis and research on the functions of multiplex should be conducted in order to enhance the effectiveness of audiovisual contents through diversifying and differentiating the spatial design. Secondly, cultural hub through popularizing specialized multiplex Multiplex should be developed into a space where communication is held through audiovisual contents. It should be a part of people’s life and cultural hub through providing various multiplex for different purposes and easy booking service. The purpose of this study is on establishing multiplex where cultural activities are held in addition to watching movies through popularizing and making use of multiplex. |
