The purpose of this study is to analyze the case of the share house using the Machiya in Kyoto. For This study, I mainly researched and analyzed spatial organization and features of the Machiya, Japanese traditional house, based on literature review. Then, I research and analyzed spatial organization and management methods 4 different share houses using the Machiya in Kyoto based on Internet research. The results of this study are as follows. First, personal spaces are placed on the last step of each space and connected between personal spaces and co-spaces through the Doma. Second, most Machiya share houses contains various additional co-spaces. It is possible to form a new relationship betwen the tenant by creating environment in which to interact naturally find a hobby or interest of the tenant in common, such as theater room, library, hobby room, etc.. Third, four cases is shown that it helps solve a number of friction and can be activated by performing a community managing the hardware and software. The result of this study, we expect to be able to be used as a basic research for the development of the share house for various households. |
