Recently, it has become unavoidable situation to create high quality of elderly housing for the aging society. The purpose of this study is to suggest universal design environment for elderly housing environment based on user requirement. We carried out this study by 3 steps. Firstly, a survey was conducted of 60 aged people about discomfort and needs to their housing. Moreover, with the result of questionnaires, we produced universal design product for kitchen, bathroom and bedroom. And finally, analyses and evaluations with this products were done through user test using eye-tracker system. Through this study, we could make conclusions as follows: aged people discontented with height of furniture, absence of safe bar and home controller system. Therefore, up and down semi-automatic top shelf, safe bar, visual clarity of color and home controller system were installed and we could find that semi-automatic top shelf and home controller system were most satisfied through eye-tracker system. |
