요약2 Sugimoto Takashi founded the Super Potato as a national and international designer proposing original designs based on his design sensibility. He stresses archaic simplicity rather than modern sense along with peculiar perspectives on space. In designing a space, he uses natural material as it is or disassembles and combines waste articles for the purpose of unfamiliar perception and distinctive experience. In addition, he plans space configuration where communication occurs between space and space, between person and person and between space and person through material entities or where physical elements like partitions and walls are eliminated to induce natural communication. Besides, through past vestiges, experiences and memories does he gain creative inspiration. After all, such views on space of his are considered to express 'non-ordinariness'. His expression of non-ordinariness refers to universalization of usualness or destruction of fixed concepts present in representation and habitual relations settled in existing approaches. What he calls 'non-ordinariness' is to break away from usual approaches of expression so as to derive unfamiliar spatial experience with his own independent views on space. His expression of non-ordinariness seems worth suggesting as a new direction for design to produce a differentiated food and beverage space in the future.
