The purpose of this study was to propose methodology of spatial design at church by having locality as a concept. For this, it suggested the process of being applied to space by passing through the stage of selecting subject for extracting the modeling form, which comprises space, and of visualizing the modeling form through subject, and aimed at spatial application and expression. It extracted the modeling form by making it mean as hardship for stone, as grace for wind, and as life in the holy spirit for rain, based on stone, wind, and rain, which indicate characteristics in Jeju. The extracted modeling form was suggested the formative space as the differentiated image by being applied to each compositional space, thereby having been allowed to be expressed its meaning according to the use. |
