This study tries to suggest the fundamental resource for improving the indoor environment of the elderly care facility for coming days, with the environment assessment on the aspect of the environmental psychology and behavior, considering the features of elderly around the Nursing Homes. In the result of study, though the relative space design was shown as at a good status among the ten classifications based on the frame of analysis, including delightfulness, functional support, stability, accessibility, flexibility of space, sociability, liberality, the efficiency of recognition and perception, space, familiarity, the flexibility of space, safety and the liberality was shown as unsatisfied, and the liberality, the design inducing challenge for dotard. As considering the features of dotard, the minimal functional support is important. But as considering the dotard's features that their physical or spiritual function could be declined when the dependence is too much given, the space design available for proper stimulus and inducing their challenge is required. Furthermore, the assurance of sufficient storage space is needed and the plane design considering the reliability without projecting parts should be provided. Lastly, more various programs, flexible efficient space usage and the enough space of curing garden should be planned as well. |
