Population aging is a global phenomenon, the challenge facing Korea, however ,is especially daunting. As Korean population ages and the number of older people who are “aging in place” increases, Korea will face new opportunities and challenges in responding to this population’s needs. This explosive growth of elder adults represents both opportunities and challenges, the wider residential environment. Faced with an aging population, we must look for new ways to ensure that elder adults can contribute to and be cared for by their communities. The purpose of this study is to suggest that society can cope with the changing situation to aged society, can make low-income elderly possible for independent life as society members. Also, to encourage elderly to communicate with neighborhood in the society, we suggest the ways to develop the performance of national elderly rental apartment to comprehend a variety of life style. In this study, we established three concepts, Alterability, Social Facilitation, Spatiality, for improving the future national rental apartment plan. This plan is to maximize residents' satisfaction and to promote communication with neighborhood in the community by supporting them. |
