| 요약2 | The purpose of the study is to develop a design alternative based on Environment and Behavior theory, thereby to show the connection between theory and application. A proportion of aged population and one's with dementia has increased rapidly. Environment which needs to accommodate those with dementia emerged as an important issue. Zeisel et al's theory is applied to the experimental design using a prototype apartment floor plan. As a research method, review of literature was done about theory on design for demented elderly and previous research which focused on the link between the theory and actual design. As a result, eight aspects were considered and visualized in the developed plan and described accordingly. Design is a continuous process of transferring an abstract concept to a very concrete solution via limitless image-present-evaluation process. The developed plan is expected to play a role of as an interim alternative which can be evaluated and modified continuously toward a more robust solution. |
