The work of the 112 Security Situation Room has been expanded to strengthen the police’s initial response capabilities, but the space of the Situation Room is very small, the space is organized without a systematic plan, and research on this is very insufficient. Therefore, this study aims to present the direction of improvement by analyzing the current status of the 112 Security Situation Room in Korea, including representative overseas cases, and to lay the foundation for basic data when establishing a spatial plan in the future. To this end, we analyzed the cases of 112situation rooms that were previously studied abroad, and the drawings of 112 Security situation rooms nationwide were analyzed, and each characteristic was analyzed by dividing them into six types according to the arrangement type of related rooms based on the situation rooms. The drawings and photos required for case analysis were conducted based on the data provided by the National Police Agency, and in order to compensate for the limitations of case analysis, an on-site survey was conducted by selecting a target site for each location, and an in-depth interview with the workers of the police station was conducted. The necessary space was considered through specific area analysis, and in distance analysis, an appropriate distance was calculated and presented in consideration of the specificity of police work in the 112 Security situation room by comprehensively considering overseas guidelines and the current status of Korea. In conclusion, it is necessary to refer to foreign guidelines for space standardization of the 112 Security Situation Room, and to present a direction for improvement considering the work characteristics of the domestic situation room and the body size of Korean workers based on a comprehensive case analysis of the 112 Security Situation Room in Korea. Therefore, this study presented area, movement line, and ergonomic standard dimensions for the space composition and planning of the 112 Security Situation Room, which is significant in being used as basic data for the spatial study of the 112 Security Situation Room. |
