요약2 Mark Foster Gage’s high resolution architectural approach represents a bold departure from design traditions that place humans at the center of everything. His work is deeply informed by Object-Oriented Ontology(OOO), a philosophical movement that challenges anthropocentrism and proposes a flat view of the world where all objects, both human and non-human, hold equal ontological weight. To translate this philosophical stance into architectural form, Gage disrupts conventional design principles using kitbashing, fractal, and parafiction. These techniques undermine the sense of easy understanding or singular meaning typically conveyed by buildings, instead creating complex, multi-layered experiences. This study analyzes a range of Gage’s works, both built and theoretical, to explore how these methods manifest, highlighting their effectiveness in conveying complex theoretical concepts through architectural form. Gage’s emphasis on high resolution architecture is fundamentally about questioning the viewer’s relationship to the built world. His work challenges us to consider architecture as more than just functional backdrops, prompting reflection on the agency of architectural objects and how they shape our perceptions. In line with OOO, Gage’s focus on object autonomy and interconnectedness invites a profound reconsideration of our place within the built environment, urging us to step outside a purely human-centric perspective.
