요약2 Hotels have evolved from merely providing lodging spaces to becoming places that cater to diverse lifestyles and offer high-quality services. Within hotels, the lobby area serves as the first space that guests encounter, making it a crucial area for shaping their initial impressions of the hotel. Therefore, a user-centered approach is required, which not only emphasizes unique and distinctive design but also provides psychological satisfaction to the users. On the other hand, the interest in spaces incorporating biophilic design elements has grown since the outbreak of COVID-19, as there is an increased focus on improving the quality of life. Hence, this study aims to analyze the biophilic design elements present in the lobby spaces of lifestyle hotels opened after COVID-19 and propose a design direction that can help perceive the lobby as a space that enhances the quality of life alongside its original purpose. The research methodology is as follows: We conducted a literature review to understand the concepts and characteristics of lifestyle hotels and lobby spaces. To identify biophilic design elements, we analyzed concepts and patterns, and then developed an analytical framework. We conducted field surveys to analyze selected cases and draw conclusions. The research results are as follows: Various forms of biophilic design were evident. It was observed that hotels opened recently are using small-scale furniture arrangements, plant boxes, and potted plants to create partially obscured relaxation spaces.
