The purpose of this study was to analyze the present condition and suggest improvement of convenient facilities for the construction workers. We conducted field survey on 15 construction sites and interviews with the construction workers to investigate the satisfaction, compare with the standard of estimate and suggest improvement of the current convenient facilities. Findings are as follows; first, the toilet installation ratio (86.9%) was the highest and the sufficiency of standard of estimate(39.3%) was also high in the convenience facilities at 60 construction sites. However, the rest room, shower room, fitting room, restaurant, accommodation, and medical facilities were installed at 11∼55% of the total work places and the standard of estimate rate was 13%. Insufficient standard of estimate is continuing with high dissatisfaction of the convenience facilities for field workers. Second, the satisfaction of the construction workers in the facilities was very low due to the size of the space, and then the cleanliness. Based on the results of present condition, this study proposed improvement from the planning and the policy of convenient facilities for the construction workers. |
