| 요약1 | 독일 근대건축의 선구자였던 부르노 타우트가 일본에 체류하였다는 사실은 일본의 근대건축의 형성과정에 있어 중요한 의미를 갖고 있다. 왜냐하면 그가 일본에 체류한 1933년 5월부터 1936년 10월까지의 기간은 일본 근대건축의 전환기이며, 보수적 성향의 건축가와 진보적 성향의 건축가가 자국의 독자적인 근대건축 스타일을 두고 첨예하게 대립하고 있던 시기였기 때문이다. 특히 일본 고건축에 대한 브르노 타우트의 관심은 당시 일본인들이 잃어버리고 있었던 정신과 미를 부활시켰다고 하며, 그가 일본에 체류하는 동안 남긴 활동1)은 직, 간접적으로 일본의 근대건축에 많은 영향을 미치고 있다. 그러므로 당시 일본건축계의 보수와 진보의 갈등구조에 브르노 타우트의 활동이 어떠한 영향을 미치고 있는가를 고찰하는 것은 중요한 요소가 된다. 따라서 본 논문은 부르노 타우트 건축이 갖고 있는 근대적 성향과 일본에서 그의 활동이 일본 근대건축의 형성과정에 어떠한 영향을 미치고 있는가를 고찰하는데 그 목적을 두고 있다. 또한 브르노 타우트의 건축적 활동은 당시 젊은 건축가와 학생들에게 많은 영향을 미치고 있어, 이를 고찰하는 것은 2차 세계대전 이후 일본의 현대건축을 이해하는데 있어 의미가 있다고 생각된다. 그는 일본에 체류하는 동안 일본문화에 관한 4권의 저서와 2개의 주택작품, 1개의 계획안과 대학에서의 강연, 특강 등 교육활동을 하였다. |
| 요약2 | This paper aims at researching the characteristics in Bruno Taut of architecture and its influence in Japanese modern architecture. We also can study how to harmonize Japanese traditional architecture with western architecture through activities of Bruno Taut in Japan. Especially, Japanese architectural society had a dispute on their national architectural style in 1910. During the 1930's, however, the rationalist architects denied this 'Jaegwan' style architecture, and insisted a different new Japanese architectural style. Thus Japanese modern architecture adapted two axis of Western and Japan, it had been developed with their conflict and harmony by turns. This activities of Bruno Taut in Japan deeply and freshly influenced on the contemporary Japanese Architectural situation. |
