| 요약1 | 이 건축교육 인증제가 비록 아직까지는 국내 실내디자인 교육에는 직접적인 영향을 주고 있지 않으나 본 연구자는 급변하는 세계화 추세와 국내 건축교육의 변화 속에서 우리 실내디자인 교육을 되돌아보고 또한 어떠한 외부의 변화에도 능동적으로 대처할 수 있도록 준비하는 자세가 필요하리라 본다. 이를 위한 하나의 방법으로 현재 모든 면에서 우리에게 큰 영향력을 행사하고 있는 미국의 실내 디자인 교육 인증제도에 대한 진지한 고찰이 진행되어야 하겠다. 이미 미국 실내디자인의 교육 인증 재단인 FIDER의 인증규준들은 다른 연구에서 소개된 바 있기에 본 연구에서는 연구자의 경험을 토대로 보다 깊이 있게 미국의 실내디자인 인증의 참 의미와 그 과정을 제시하고자 한다. 그리하여 본 논문이 인증제도의 찬반, 유무를 떠나 국내 교육자들이 자체 커리큘럼 평가 시 하나의 가이드라인으로 활용될 수 있도록 하는데 그 목적이 있다 하겠다. |
| 요약2 | The present study is an analysis of the process and affects of interior design accreditation by FIDER(Foundation of Interior Design Education Research) in the United States. Due to the consequences of becoming a member of WTO(World Trade Organization), currently Architectural programs in Korea are seeking ways to set up this accreditational system. The history of interior design education has always been closely interconnected with architectural education, moreover the educational system in Korea has long been affected by that of the United States. Therefore, the author believes that it is crucial for interior design educators to understand the meanings and affects of accreditation system in order to be prepared for this globalization. This paper analyzes the accreditation system between Architectural and Interior Design programs in the United States with that of Korea. It also presents an in-depth study of FIDER accreditation process in the interior design program at Kansas State University, where the author has participated as a preparation member. Thus hope to serve as a guideline for self evaluating interior design programs in Korea. |
