| 요약1 | 도시의 확장이 자본경제의 개발 논리로 집중되고 디지털 문화와 사이버 공간의 출현으로 장소(place)에 대한 인식이 흐려지는 이 시대에 물리적인 대중 집적 공간의 해석은 매우 중요하다. 특히 문화의 집적과 개인, 지역 나아가 국가의 정체성을 보호하기 위한 수단으로서 도시의 모습을 반영하고 있는 대형 문화시설과 실내광장의 이해는 필수적이다. 도시 환경에서의 대형 문화시설은 대표적 공공공간으로 공간의 성질을 사회화시키며 질서를 부여하는 특징을 지닌다. 실내광장은 하나의 공통된 구조 안에서 대중의 집적과 개별 단위공간간의 연계성을 부여하고, 공공 커뮤니케이션이 이루어지는 사회적 매개공간이다. 이러한 실내광장을 통한 문화적 공감대의 형성은 역으로 각 개인의 정체성을 찾아가고 유지하는데 절대적인 기능을 수행하기도 한다. 다양한 공간을 포함하게 되는 대형 문화시설의 각 단위공간들은 적절한 배치와 규모로 합리적인 실내 및 실외로의 동선 확장을 유도하여야 하며, 실내광장은 각각의 단위 공간과 함께 건물의 정체성 확인을 증가시킨다. 현대 사회 광장은 도시문화생활의 중심 공간으로, 매개공간의 기능을 수행하는 공공성과 대중적 영역으로서의 접근과 인식전환이 요구되는 대표적 공간이며 실내 공간응용 및 활용차원에서의 연구가 필요하다. |
| 요약2 | Complex-cultural facilities in the contemporary era are significantly influenced by the anti-modernism and space relativism movement of the 20th century. Complex-cultural facilities have the complex-layered space. In many contemporary buildings, this complex-layered space has void center space within it which primarily functions as indoor plaza. This study pays attention to the fact that the design of indoor plaza has developed differently in Europe and the US, which vividly demonstrates spatial relativism in contemporary buildings. With this backdrop, I analyze the architectural and cultural backgrounds of indoor plaza in Europe and the US. In addition, I examine the cultural functions and visual interpretation of indoor plaza in the regions to compare the design features and functionality. |
