| 요약1 | 우리나라는 1960년대 이후 지금까지 농업위주의 경제생활에서 벗어나 공업위주의 대량생산, 대량소비로 경제체제가 바뀌면서 사회제도, 가치체계, 규범 등에서 급격한 변화를 보이고 있다. 또한 근대화에 따른 이러한 사회변화는 도시와 함께 농촌에도 커다란 변화를 초래하게 되어 전통적인 마을의 정주환경과 주거생활에 있어서도 많은 변화를 보이고 있다. 그러나 농촌주거환경은 근대화에 따른 변화와 전통문화의 지속이라는 두 가지 측면이 공존하고 있음을 알 수 있다. 즉, 서구화, 근대화의 요소 속에 전통문화의 이중성이 내포된 것이라 할 수 있다.따라서 근대화과정은 근대적인 것이 전통적인 것을 대처하는 과정이라고 생각하기 쉬우나 실제로는 근대적인 것과 함께 전통적인 요소가 꾸준히 지속되고 있다는 점이다. 본 연구는 농촌주거의 근대화 과정에서 전통적 생활문화요소의 지속성과 변용성을 파악 하고자 하는 것이며, 이것은 문화적 전통에 뿌리를 두도록 노력해야하는 정체성(identity)의 확보와 아울러 문화적 통합성(integration)의 측면으로 농촌주거를 파악하려는 것이다. 제주지역은 전통적으로 지역의 풍토, 역사, 문화, 그리고 생활양식 등 전반적인 측면에서 다른 지역과 상이함을 보이고 있다. 특히 개방적 공간구성에 따른 전용적(轉用的) 공간사용, 의례를 대비한 공간구성, 세대분리의 공간구성의 특징을 나타내고 있다. 이러한 제주지역 주거특성은 근대화 과정을 통하여 주생활과 공간이 대응관계를 갖고 변화되고 있다. 따라서 본 연구는 근대화에 따른 제주지역 농촌주거의 생활문화적 측면을 이해하기 위하여 전통적 요소가 오늘날까지 어떠한 형태와 방법으로 지속성과 변용성을 나타내는지를 파악하는 것을 목적으로 한다. |
| 요약2 | The purpose of this study is to recognize the continuation and change of rural houses on the Jeju Area through extension and renovatio which is expressed in the modernization course. For this study, I choose 52 residences in 8 villages as the subjects which are changed by the spontaneous will of the inhabitants who live in Jeju area. As for the research method, after visiting the subject residence directly, and the field study such as the actual estimation research, observation research, and interview research were performed.The conculation of the study with these purpose are as follows. Fist, the continuation and change of the rural dwelling space in the traditional aspect. As for the arrangement of the house, the recognition of securing the space for the Ma-dang is continuously expressed. Second, The dwelling spatial composition after the modernization was changed into the pattern which make each space individual, however the opened structure which is focused upon the Ma-ru and An-bang is still being continued. Thirdly, The kitchen continuously shows the assistance of the standing household life according to the modernization. Additionally, with the multi-use room was arranged for the daily use as well as to cook in the space or to store the household tools. |
