| 요약1 | 미국의 Peterson's Distance Learning Guide의 보고에 의하면, 가상교육의 대상이 100만 명을 넘으며 50%이상의 대학생이 비 전형적 구성 체계를 가질 것이라고 보도한 바 있다.1) 비 전형적 구성 체계란 경제적 여건으로 인한 직장인 학생의 증가 평균 나이의 증가, 기혼 학생의 증가 등의 구조적 특성을 말하며,이와 더불어 일반 직장인들의 대학 졸업 후 재교육의 요구 증가를 포함한다. 가상 교육은 이러한 미래의 증가하는 비 전형적 학생 구조를 충족시킬 수 있는 전략 수단으로서 그 잠재력과 활용 방안이 여러 측면에서 연구되고 있다. 가상 교육은 80년대 중반부터 대두되기 시작 하였으며, 초기의 연구는 가상 교육의 잠재성과 파생되는 기술적 문제점에 중점을 두었다. 그러나, 최근의 연구 동향은 가상 교육의 타 교육 수단과 구별되는 주요 특성인 통신 기술에의 의존과 부합된 학습 전략의 개발에 중점을 두고 있다. 또한, 가상 교육의 적용 범위에 있어서 부분적 혹은 전 교과목에의 적용 등 그 선별 기준의 정립과 함께 구체적 교육과정에 필요한 학습 이론의 필요성이 강조되고 있다. 그러므로, 이 연구에서는 구체적으로 가상교육의 이론적 개념 및 교육전략을 소개하고, 이를 바탕으로 실내디자인 교육과 실무에 반영될 수 있는 운영 모형을 제시하고자 한다. |
| 요약2 | The purpose of this study is to develope instructional strategies and assessment model for distance learning in interior design education in Korea. Literature from various sources were examined to provide guidelines for instructional and technical strategies, communication system, and administrative process. Strategies and assessment model for transition to distance learning from goal setting to program evaluation were introduced. The results of this study indicated that distance learning in interior design education is optimized when applied in studio critique, portfolio production, and professional practice and with other traditional programs depending on the characteristics of the instructional materials. It is suggested for further studies that various distance learning programs based on instructional theories to be conducted and evaluated in different areas of interior design education for their maximum application as instructional tool. |
