오늘날 산업사회의 발달과 더불어 주거환경 역시 지속적으로 발전해 왔고, 거주자의 요구 또한 다양해지고 있다. 과거, 공간에 대한 인식은 매우 제한적인 산업기술의 범위 내에서 이루어졌으나, 산업기술의 발달로 시장이 다양해졌으며, 이에 따라 주생활에 대한 거주자의 요구도 다양화 양상을 보이고 있다. 주생활의 변화와 거주자 요구의 다양화로 인해 현 주거공간 계획에 있어서 재검토와 함께 다양하게 표출되는 거주자의 요구에 부응할 수 있는 새로운 주거공간의 제안이 이루어져야 하는 시점에 이르렀다. 설계 당시에는 공간의 기능이 충분하게 만족되었을지라도 빠른 사회변화는 더욱 새로운 기능을 요구하게 되었다. 이에 따라 주거 내에 거주자가 직접 조정할 수 있는 공간을 제공하는 가변요소의 도입이 절실하게 필요하게 되었다.주요구가 개별화, 다양화되는 시대에서는 거주자 요구의 적용이 가능한 가변적인 실내공간계획을 도입함으로서 제한된 규모와 형태 내에서도 가족 구성의 변화나 새로운 거주자의 입주 시 등에도 적극 대응할 수 있을 것이다. 본 연구에서는 "가변성"이라는 개념이 현 주거공간에 나타나고 있는 문제점을 해결하고, 거주자의 주요구를 충족시켜줄 수 있는 요인이라고 전제하고, 실내공간 가변화를 위한 방안으로 시스템가구를 활용하여 공간의 효율성 증대 및 거주자의 생활패턴의 변화에 능동적으로 대처할 수 있는 방안을 제안하는데 그 목적이 있다. |

The purpose of this study is to suggest a new system and standards of system furniture for promoting the efficiency of a living space in order to cope with any possible change of a resident's lifestyle. For this purpose, the study premises that the idea of "flexibility" can provide a solution to problems with the resident's current living space, and furthermore, it can fulfill the resident's needs of a flexible living space. To decide the needs of the flexibility of a living space, this paper examined and analyzed several studies on the necessity of the flexibility of a living space according to changes of one's lifestyle, characteristics and problems of each type of existing furniture, and applications of each type of system furniture and it's flexibility. The results of this study is as follows:First, a new furniture system is necessary so that a resident can adjust one's living space. Second, a plan for flexible interior space can meet a current resident's demand of a flexible living space, not to mention an initial resident's. Third, a systematic plan is needed to install system furniture in a living space to cope with changes of a resident's lifestyle |
