| 요약1 | 공간의 장소성의 재해석을 통하여 거주자 중심의 공간을 창출하는 것이 그 해법의 하나가 될 수 있다. 공간의 장소성이 지속적인 생명력을 유지하여 거주자에게 바람직한 환경을 항상 제공하기 위해서는 심리적, 감각적 요소에 대한 이해가 덧붙여져야 한다고 본다. 특히 주거공간에서의 장소성은 자칫 의미가 약화되거나 퇴색될 수 있으나 우리에게 가장 밀접되어 있는 주거환경은 다른 환경과 비교해 거주자의 심리적, 감각적 요소가 더욱 크게 연관된다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 포괄적 개념인 장소성을 다시 규명해보고, 주거공간에서 구현된 구체적 사례를 분석해 봄으로써 장소성 개념을 재정리해 보고자 한다. 본 논문에서는 장소성을 이해하기 위해 여러 문헌을 통한 공간 개념의 변천 과정을 살펴보고 그에 따른 장소성의 형성 과정과 특성을 분석하고자 한다. 하지만 공간 개념에 대한 접근이 매우 다양함으로 본 논문에서는 슐츠(C. N. Schulz)의 실존적 공간 개념을 중점적으로 다루기로 하며, 이와 함께 장소성의 지속성에 영향을 주거나 상승효과를 기대할 수 있는 심리적 요소와 감각적 요소를 함께 분석하여 물리적 요소와의 접합을 검토해 본다. 둘째, 사례분석을 통해 그들의 장소성에 대한 접근 방법을 고찰해 보고자하며, 사례 조사는 주로 찰스 무어(Charles Moore)와 마리오 보타(Mario Botta)의 주택 작품을 통해 그들의 장소성에 대한 접근 과정을 분석해 본다. |
| 요약2 | The complex structure of contemporary society and human needs has been researched and applied to contemporary architecture and interior design in the late half of the 20th century. Interior space as a place can be analyzed from the viewpoint of the theory of existentialism. The purpose of this research is to define the concept of place based on C. N. Schulz`s theory of space, and aims at embodiment of the sense of place in interior, especially residential, environment through applying emotional and psychological factors. Spatial characteristics that help to form and enhance the sense of place are centricity, axis and direction, and boundary and enclosure. Typical psychological factors, in other words, people`s psychological needs, especially in residential environment, are needs for control, privacy, identity, security, order, and aesthetics. The sense of place is formed and lasted, especially in residential space, mainly by personalization through the process of visualization, symbolization, and complementation of above mentioned properties and elements. |
