요약2 Sizing of borehole heat exchangers (BHEs) is crucial for successful long-term operating of a ground source heat pump (GSHP) system. Recently, new sizing methods have been proposed by different research groups, but similarly they used the duct storage (DST) model combined with optimizations. However, since the DST model is applicable only to cylindrical BHE configurations, the use of those new methods is limited. A recent study proposed a modified DST model that can account for irregular BHE configurations. The purpose of this paper is to use this modified DST model for those new sizing methods. From a case study of a rectangular BHE arrangement, the modified DST model can result in similar sizing results with existing sizing tools.
