요약2 The purpose of this paper is to investigate weather data for building energy simulation in a place where no KMA (Korea Meteorological Administration) automated synoptic observing system (ASOS) exists. Yongin (37.320221, 127.125430) was selected for this case study, where a local digital weather station (DKU) was installed at Dankook University, to compare KMA observed weather data and WRF(Weather Research and Forecasting) model data. The KMA observed data for Yongin were used in two ways. One is the average value of Seoul and Suwon (KMA:Seoul+Suwon) and ther other is to use data from a geographically close source, Suwon ASOS data (KMA:Suwon). For WRF modeling (WRF), the NCEP FNL data has been used. The difference between seasonal errors was observed in both the KMA observed data and the WRF predicted data. The WRF prediction data has higher error rate thatn the KMA data. In the case of KMA data, using the average value of Seould and Suwon was more accurate than Suwon data. In the case of WRF model, the CVRMSE was less than 20% in this study. Continuous research is needed as an alternative for meteorological data in the absence of KMA observed data.
