Most class rooms and offices in school buildings depend on electric lighting during the daytime and the windows on the walls do not provide enough daylight deep into the rooms. In Korea, school buildings with double-loaded corridors have been increasingly designed since 2000. In these buildings class rooms located on the north part do not received enough daylight from the north-facing window for the illumination. In this study, an anidolic daylighting system was developed for the school buildings with double-loaded corridors and the daylight performance was evaluated by RADIANCE program with Photon Map-algorithm. The result showed that the illuminance levels were increased for the south room and north room. |
