The purpose of this study is to examine the thermal comfort associated with occupants' stress. To achieve the purpose, a chamber experiment based on PMVs was conducted. Environmental factors were set with the PMV scale from -2 to +2 and 7 healthy male undergraduates participated in this experiments. All the participants were exposed to the conditions in order of PMV from cold to hot. After the participant was allowed to enter into a climate chamber, brain wave(EEG) data associated with stress were collected. As the result, participants felt least stressful under the thermal neutral environment (PMV 0) and most stressful under the hottest environment in this experiment (PMV +2). |
