The purpose of this study is to evaluate the indoor environmental conditions for comfort, cooling performance and energy efficiency of the capillary tube system using geothermal energy. In recent years, the use of room air conditioner has been increased so much than ever before. As one of the althernatives to solve this problem, radiant floor cooling has been suggested by running cooling water through piping installed for heating system. However, radiant floor cooling also causes a problem of condensation on a cool floor surface in such a humid climate during the summer. Therefore, we also combined use of radiant floor cooling and dehumidification system. The results of this study are as follows. In peak load, the capillary tube radiant floor cooling system using geothermal energy can be satisfied with the indoor setting temperature without other heat source. The set room air temperature is maintained while the floor surface temperature, PMV and PPD remain within the comfort range. Also, it is more economic than packaged air conditioner system due to the COP of system. |
