The installation of insulation panels is an essential process in construction to satisfy the required U-Values of a building, especially in the slabs of the top floors. The installation method of insulation mostly depends on the types of deck plates. Recently, insulation integrated deck plate systems have been developed and used in construction sites, e.g., steel deck plate with insulation panels. However these insulation integrated deck systems and conventional method may create different shapes of crack and thermal properties. In this study, we propose a new method to detect and analyse the length of cracks on insulation panels to evaluate the thermal performance of a building using an image processing function. |
