This paper presents empirical comparison of nodal network ventilation simulation with experiments. Four ventilation strategies are experimented in terms of ventilation type (hybrid vs. total heat exchanger), outdoor airflow rate and air inlet location (bedroom1, bedroom1+living room, bedroom1+living room+bedroom2). For ventilation simulation, CONTAMW 2.4 is chosen and then simulation results were compared with the measured CO2 concentrations for each case of four ventilation strategies. In addition, the sensitivity analysis was performed to quantitatively investigate output variation influenced by uncertain simulation parameters. It is shown that simulation outputs of total heat exchanger ventilation are surprisingly accurate, but for the case of hybrid ventilation, it should be kept in mind that uncertain parameters may lead to wrong prediction. |
