요약2 This study compares three different control strategies for double skin systems. The selected control strategies are (1) rule-based approach, (2) exhaustive search and (3) gradient based search. The optimal control variables of the second and third approaches are based on the dynamics of the systems while the first one is based on the 'intuition' and 'experience' of control designers. This study aims to investigate how different the performance of the systems would be depending on the different control strategies. The control simulation uses the lumped calibrated model developed in the previous study and an optimization routine to solve for optimal control variables which minimize a cost function over the time horizon. The paper shows that there is significant difference between a rule-based approach and dynamic control approaches.
