요약2 Internal Insulation system is usually applied to the apartment in Korea. In this case, the layer of insulation is disconnected by structural components at the joints of wall-slab and wall-wall. These joints become thermal bridges at which the risk of inside surface condensation and heat loss increase. Especially at the joints adjacent to hot water pipes for heating, the heat loss is so great that the outside surface temperatures are higher by 2∼4℃ in the winter than those of surrounding regions. EIFS (Exterior Insulation and Finish System) can be a solution for reducing the heat loss. Thus this study aims to evaluate the energy performance in case of applying the EIFS to the wall-slab joint including window system of the balcony in Korean apartment.
