요약2 This paper proposes a window shaped hybrid ventilator which can realize cross ventilation in energy conservative manners by using it in pairs. The ventilator is comprised of a heat storage material, filter, supply and exhaust fans. In order to estimate the effectiveness of the heat storage material used in the proposed system, two pilot units of window shaped hybrid ventilators are installed in a room, and the air temperature changes across the heat storage material is monitored. The experiment is conducted in winter. It is found that, the incoming outdoor air temperature is mitigated by the stored heat, and consequently, the window shaped hybrid ventilator can reduce the ventilation load over 37%. A complete system control logic applied in this system is also discussed in this paper.
