요약2 This paper introduces a CAD system called LED-CAD. The system is an integrated building modeling environment supporting the low-energy building design. As a BIM (Buinding Information Model)-based CAD tool, the LED-CAD has been designed to provide easy-to-use user interfaces, seamless connection with the energy performance simulation software, and to be scalable for the future integration with various simulation tools. The system is currently being developed in a modular manner : Main framework is designed to be a powerful building modeler compatible with current BIM standards so that the system can be easily used in the whole building process. Component editors and browsers are developed as plug-in modules which convert the building data into a simulation-ready rich data sets. Data exchange methods are also developed to work with the component database system and simulation program in a seamless manner. The system will be the first one of its kind in supporting both BIM-based easy building design and simulation support.
