As the green building certification system is notified and enforced, additional resources (e.g. time, cost, man hours) for the implementation are required. To get the green building certification system adopted in design process successfully, it is important to minimize the additional load on the design team and increase the efficiency of the certification process. this paper presents outcomes of analysis on the basis of observations through preliminary certification cases. To improve the efficiency of design process for the certification, stakeholders (e.g. design team, construction team) should make effective communication from the beginning of design process. It is extpected that automatic data sharing system such as building information modelling(BIM) could contribute to reducing working hours of the certification process. |
