The objective of this study was to analyze the facility manager and local government officials’ needs to utilize the indoor air quality (IAQ) information and to manage the IAQ in multi-use facilities. For this purpose, the survey was conducted on 97 managers and 35 officials of child care facilities (CCF), elderly care facilities (ECF), and underground multi-use facilities (UMF). The questionnaire consisted of work information, cognition on IAQ, the preferred method of providing IAQ information, and management status. The results show that the number of managed facilities per official is as high as 64. In the case of management and recording of IAQ measurement by facility, the UMF was the best (92.9%), and the ECF was the lowest at 71.9%. In addition, as for the preferred IAQ information route, the preference for mobile (app and alarm) was high at 49.2%, and the demand for the prevalence of the monitoring system was high at 28.0%. Since the types of pollutants that can be provided and the frequency of information provision are different, it is necessary to select the range of IAQ information for each facility. |
