요약2 Particulate matter concentration should be reduced because it is likely to deteriorate indoor air quality (IAQ) and human health. In addition, control of classroom’s IAQ is very important because students spend most of their time at school. Recently, the number of cases of applying bio-wall as a way to remove particulate matter is increasing, but research on optimizing the location of bio-wall is insufficient. Therefore, in this study, the performance of bio-wall was analyzed according to operation of air conditioners, bio-wall’s location and operation using CFD in two classrooms (Class A, B). As a result, when the air conditioner was operated, the removal rate of both classrooms tended to increase, and when the bio-wall was not operated, the removal rate was close to 0%. In addition, removal rate was the highest when a bio-wall was installed in a place where the inlet of the bio-wall directly contacts the air flow of the air conditioner.
